IncrediMail
Well, I downloaded it, the FREE account (otherwise under $30. per year and ad free). I have heard so many people RAVE on about this service, I took a chance and am trying it. Then there are just as many saying "get rid of it".
I thought it would make a nice newsletter for some of my "peeps".
I also liked adding a voice message to it also -- some of my "peeps" would like that. I attached it to a limited low use Yahoo account of mine.
The program does not work with HotMail or Outlook Express. (You can use HoTpOp.) They don't tell you that until AFTERWARDS then you have to change it (add or delete as many accounts you wish under the tool bar --> accounts).
I only took a few of the stationary they offered. I don't need much.
I don't plan on using all those little emoticons or sounds effects increasing the size of an email.
I thought the little slide show they had on use and the FAQ were done well.
So you log in -- open up your account, select which email account (I only have one, but you can have as many as you like to use the service.) choose your stationary that you selected, and type away, then send your message.
Then I really woke up and start thinking --if I use the stationary, that would mean that the file size (graphics) of the email I sent may be HUGE.
Although, now most accounts can hold larger files, but still, some may look at it and delete it even if it is from YOU someone they know.
Maybe it might end up in the spam folder because each message has ADS on it.
And if you send a note to the teacher, most school webservers don't allow this sort of stuff and it will never make it there.
Then I find out that it is actually Spywear!
And after that I find out that the download program can be hard to remove -- read how to remove IncrediMail, frustrating issues with Incredimail, what you need to know, plus more bugs, comments and opinions.
Well, I will wait for "Jeeves" to announce an email has arrived and see what happens. I always wanted Jeeves in my life. He is suppose to walk across the screen and announce you've got mail (on a shiny silver platter!). I will email myself to see if he stops by to announce then refresh my drink.
I think it may be off my system in a short time if I wish to give up Jeeves.
In the meantime -- some IncrediMail Tips and TricksIt is times like this, I miss all the stationary that HotMail once had and got rid of, oh so long ago.Anyone else use this?

Burger Time
Or not.
I was looking for Supercuts locations, got sidetracked with a story of a guy who used a pair of scissors to rob a Supercut salon, and found this interesting slide show listed on the page sidebar of comparing burgers from one joint to another. It was educational to say the least. They did not rate White Castle.
Typically, we go to Wendys and order off the 99 cent menu once in a while with a Frosty as an occasional treat. We like the Cheeseburger Deluxe. My son likes the Chicken nuggets.
As for White Castle -- there are none around here and we have only tried their burgers we can get in the frozen food section (six pack) of the store a few times. My children like them and I think they are ok.
Personally -- we do prefer Jennie-O Turkey Burgers we cook at home.
So which fast food place do you like to go to?

Wedding Anniversary!
It was on Friday.
We attended my Aunt's funeral.
Saturday we went to a birthday party for our nieces children's first birthday party.
Sunday we went to a memorial service for my Grandmother and out to lunch.
Today in one of the memes I participate in, the theme was "a special memory".
I wrote about our wedding day -- it has all the elements of a good story (drama, mystery, suspense, laughter, and sadness) in three short quick paragraphs. There is even some entertainment value too!

So the past few days, I have been looking for some new bank checks, the regular sort, not the duplicates.
Gee, they are expensive.
I also noticed that instead of 200 per box, most only sell you 150 now. The average price per box is $9-12 and some more expensive depending on the type you get. Same price but for less.
I found some that had "Kiss it Goodbye" on them, I think I am considering those satirical ones (although only 150 per box). (They also have a coupon code for an additional discount on the main page.)
I also found some others I liked but then found the same ones at WalMart Checks for less but you get more.
WalMart Checks gives you 6 pads/240 checks per box making it a better deal for around $5.96 per box. If you are frugal, this may be for you.
I never knew WalMart sold checks so now maybe you know too!

Hermits
Hermits -- my Dad's favorites
1/2 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. lightly molasses
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. each of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. raisins
3/4 c. chopped walnuts
Lemon glaze (below and optional)
Mix in bowl cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
Beat in egg then molasses; mix to blend well.
Sift together flour, spices, baking soda and salt.
Stir into creamed mixture.
Stir in raisins and walnuts.
Spread in greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes until center is still soft but springs back to the touch. Cut into 12 large squares or 24 bars.
Lemon Glaze
2/3 c. sifted powdered sugar
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. grated lemon peel

The No Stat Zone and more . . .
Well, another day, another glitch. So be it.
A few tBlog notes:
1. No stats since February 20, 11:38 am
2. On the support page, it now states, "service as is".
3. Hot Blogs has been stuck now and then. I had not moved up or down in weeks. Moved up two notches recently.
4. If you open a new account, you can now send emails out to your friends to invite them to come on over to your new blog.
5. Noticed that if you have images on your tBlog account, other people can "blog this", meaning your images can be blogged elsewhere. Notice that several tBlog templates do not have a static link/url to your photos on the sidebar:
Sport, Almovara, and that silly CR30 with the burning car image that you can't get rid of.
6. I added a bunch of stuff to Penny Lane and my Scribbles blog at ShoutPost has some funny stories in it about family life here at "Windsor Upon Weeds".
7. tBlog MIAs: SayCheese has left us -- sniff. Ruined, KatiePinkShoes, JoseParis (on hiatus but it has been long), lemoncupcake, Whisper, Taboo, to name a few -- anyone else you noticed gone but not forgotten?
8. New folks from ShoutPost transition have put life and laughter into tBlog --
PirateGirl, SquirrelZone, Barnabus, The Brit -- those are who I can think of for now. Anyone else who made the transition?

Gee -- on Idol there seems to be a Carrie Underwood lookalike and that Luke Menard looks like Orlando Bloom!
As usual -- I get my daily dose (most days) of Genoa City happenings on The Young and the Restless. We still do not know who killed Ji Min, that Amber has all the stolen stash, and who is David Chow really and why is that guy calling and following him? Then there is Gloria and Jeff living in the shared Abbott mansion with Jack and Sharon -- each is trying to get rid of the other.
