Camp tBlog
Yes, it is the last week before school and I am holding a camp out here in my blog for tbloggers. We seem to have a few seasoned blog campers around here.
Camp just like in the good old days when you were a kid before computers, gizmos and gadgets.
You get to be a kid again for a moment so pitch your tent!
You are welcomed to camp too -- your comment must be camping related.
You can respond to anyone's previous comments.
For newbies, to respond to a previous poster, click on the (reply) next to their name.
Do one of the following:
Name a favorite camp activity.
If you never went to camp, what would you like to do as an activity?
(hiking, biking, swimming, archery, bowling, shuffle board, tennis, ping pong, horseback riding, cooking, agility course, arts and crafts, etc)
What's cooking?
Write a postcard to a friend or home about a camping incident.
What secret stash did you get in the mail from home?
What secret stash are you keeping in the shoe box under your bunk/cot? (something you collected when you were younger?)
For the campfire:
Tell a scarey or spooky joke. (clean)
Name a scarey book or movie that spooked you when you were younger.
Tomorrow, I shall post a camp favorite recipe. How sweet!
Come and join the fun and festivities.
If you have not had a vacation or can't afford one, here is a cyber one that takes you away for a few moments.

Humanity by Elma Stuckey
Humanity
by Elma Stuckey
If I am blind and need someone
To keep me safe from harm,
It matters not the race to me
Of the one who takes my arm.
If I am saved from drowning
As I grasp and grope,
I will not stop to see the face
Of the one who throws the rope.
Or if out on some battlefield
I’m falling faint and weak,
The one who gently lifts me up
May any language speak.
We sip the water clear and cool,
No matter the hand that gives it.
A life that’s lived worthwhile and fine,
What matters the one who lives it?

Toy Recall
Let's see -- Thomas the Tank Engine toy recall, Fisher Price Recall, and now Mattel recall.
Poor children having their toys taken away from them. That is pretty sad because some may not completely understand what is going on.
Mattel Issues New Massive Toy Recall -- over 9 million, list included
Owners of a recalled toy can exchange it for a voucher for another product of the same value. To see pictures of the recalled toys, visit Mattel Customer Service
For more information, call Mattel’s recall hot line at 800-916-4498.
Consumer Product Safety Commission -- lots of info here.
Since most of the toys came from China -- this does not look good politically or economically for them, what a fiasco. WalMart produces a lot in China also, they better be checking their goods (more than just toys) also.

Exercising Techinques and more . . .
I got a First Magazine dated August 20th 2007 at the grocery store and was amused by this article about housework as exercise. They covered three surprise fat blaster chores and here is my synopsis of the page 34 article.
1. Putting away dishes tones your arms. To trim and tone faster, double up on the weight of the dishes. (Don't drop them!)
2. Grocery shopping -- 30 minutes burns 200 calories - 30% more than walking on a treadmill the same amount of time. To melt more thigh fat -- when you bend down to the lower shelves, do squats. Nothing was mentioned about the quick spree sprint pushing the carriage.
3. Gardening -- helps trim the tummy. To triple the tummy toning, press your tummy muscles in toward your back/spine and works to help tighten the abdominal muscles. I don't have a garden to do this one.
I seem to get more exercise vacuuming, doing laundry, walking the dogs, walking around this house, laughing, and finger exercise typing. Oh yes, and the very long walk to the mailbox, maybe several times if the mailman has not come on time.
Other things mention worthy were --
Tomatoes (page 25)
Orange tomatoes deliver 200 times more lypopene (proven to ward off cancer, heart disease, and macular degeneration).
Eating a half cup of tomatoes a day can help reduce up to 34% joint soreness.
Eating a cup a day increases brain cell activity to speedy thinking and improve focus, this all due to the 400 mg of potassium.
Eating a cup a day also helps reduce sun related skin damage by 35%.
Eating a tomato a day helps your bones become more resilient because of vitamin K.
My husband planted some tomatoes, but some creature has been eating them.
On pages 28 and 29 another article on being tired and what causes it.
A fact stated was that 80% of women suffer from a lack of magnesium and do not know this.
They have a minute quiz of symptoms to help evaluate your situation.
Maximizing Metabolism is on pages 30-31 and how you can lose 30 lbs by Labor day with the new "water cure", which is 4 weeks away.
Now eat some tomatoes and think about and focus on what I reviewed here.
