June 30th

The last day of June and now the year is half over.
Time flies!

I finished up my Big Blog Challenge for June at Penny Lane (all under the General Category). That took a chunk of time.  I tried to do my posts (we had a daily theme list) and put them on "auto pilot" to make it easier, but it was still time consuming.

The children are out of school except my son is going to summer school starting next week.
My husband is on vacation and I am on the computer.  Yes, it is getting difficult to get puter time.
My husband has joined a train forum and he is completely addicted.  He is always on.  He has posted a few hundred pictures of train stuff.  In a few days, he went from gang labour, to brakeman, now he wants to be conductor.  My daughter even commented that no one is that crazy to post like he does just to earn new titles.
Well, part of the problem is that he does not know how to use the forums so he would be writting and then he would need help.  Mostly it was me he was asking which interupted any alone quality time I could get.

And yes, it is another vacation where last week, the car broke down and he is spending vacation time fixing it.  Not the first time this has happened, the cars seem to know when he is taking the vacation and break down before it.

Well that is it.

A Skunk's Story

I am doing a June Blog Challenge with my paper art friends at Penny Lane.

Today's entry had to be about an animal.  I wrote about a resident skunk in my yard. LOL

So if you wish to be entertained, take a
quick trip.
Bring some tissue, it is a tear jerker.

Anyway by Kent Keith

ANYWAY

People are unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered.
Love them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.

The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Be good anyway.

Honesty and frankness will make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.

People need help but will attack you if you help them.
Help them anyway.

In the final analysis, it is between you and God.
It was never between you and them anyway.

* Kent Keith originated this poem in 1968.
Mother Teresa placed it on her children's home in Calcutta in a slightly different version.
As a result, many have attributed it to Mother Teresa

Big Surprise!

Well -- here is some very exciting news!

I am bursting with delight!!

Check it out!
