AOL Journals, HomeTown and MSN Groups
Well, if you have not heard AOL Journals and HomeTown (personal webpages) are shutting down on October 31st forever.
Last week it was announced that MSN Groups would shut down 2/21/09.
In November, groups have the option to migrate over to Multiply -- so silly unless Multiply adds message boards to their "groups". OK - quick update -- messageboards in groups at Multiply are known as the "notes".
Anyways, I will be busy moving a couple of groups that have 10 years worth of stuff to move.
Just as bad as moving in real life!

MSN closed the chat rooms (both groups and paid) a while back. You can still use messenger although people like the Google chat better (no download).
AOL had antiquated services that cannot keep up with the newer technology. Anyways, any one on AOL is still on dial up, which as you know, can be slow and pokey.
I set up my own little news page over there (AOL) which is cute but I don't use it all that much. Mostly because logging in is ridiculous.
