Looked like they had found someone for the ads and then, blammo, no more tblog! wonder what was going through the advertiser's minds when it shut down!?!

OK -- I did not see the advertiser -- just the ad space availability.
Evidently, someone forgot to pay the bill. The domain was renewed for a year till 2010.
Glad you registered at thoughts(dot)com.
It is an easy to use site, free and with albums.

Yes, you get full photo albums there and can upload videos and podcasts and lots of other little perks we don't get here but there is no customizing the blog just limited customizing of your profile page.
Unless you mark any of your uploads for "friends only" or "me" all the site members sees it and can rate and comment on a blog post. Also, each post has a view stat so you can see how popular you are.
Also, the site is pretty closed, unlike here where we get lots of spammers. They get spam there but not like here or Shoutpost. You also get a little button if you consider the post spam or you can flag it, something we should have around here.
New are the groups, they added those late last fall.
Now they are going international.

Ok I am Lady Inksalot there at Thoughts. I used the same avatar as here. The avatar image is on my sidebar here and is directly linked to my profile page there.
So -- I was over there but was having a trying time. I kept on getting booted off the site. I did request you to "be my friend". It looks like Barnabus has his profile set to private. Mine is public for now.
I tried adding some images with not much luck either. I think I just might use that site for photo storage since there is no limitations.
My photos will be for friends only.
I also tried to remove a few things from my landing page by x-ing them off but it did not work. Neither did it work when I went into the controls and some of the stuff you just can't get off. I guess they want you to participate.
And see that -- you can party with them on a cruise!
ARRRGGGHHH Matey -- Me thinks you might be a party crasher with your band of merry pirates! Rum for everyone!

When you go to your landing page . . . on the left it has a block (unless you deleted it) that says "Second Annual Trip to Las Vegas" -- it is only for Thoughts members to meet and mingle.
If you deleted it, then I think you can find it on the main page somewhere. I will have to check but I am having a time saying on that site for any set period.

Your welcome LadyG -- it was the closest to the features that are offered here but with a few more perks and a few restrictions.
I posted a synopsis in my blog there of features so I can remember what is what.
