Learning to Drive

Learning to Drive

My daughter is -- we have to cruise for 30 daylight hours and 10 night time hours.
She is doing very well.

It is bad enough I am living in the van driving them both around, now some more driving time.

Maybe I need a Winnebago instead and just move into it.

But the good thing is that she can eventually drive around herself!
I can send her to the store (miles away in the next town) and then have some alone time in the house!

Something to look forward to!

We are not cruising all at once -- a bit at a time.
The state recently doubled the required hours a few weeks before she started.

She does 10 hours of driving and 10 hours of observation, and 30 hours of classroom instruction with the official qualified instructor.
We (parents) do the other 40.
We have a diary to keep track of the time and places we went. When it is filled up with the hours required, then she takes it with her when she goes for the licensing test.
