Spring has Sprung

Spring has Sprung

Well -- here is my occasional post.
Been busy with my children and all this storm clean up.
We had more than two weeks of horrid weather that cause all this not to mention loss of power.
Missed the last four days of the Olympics!
Since we live on the fringe of forest, our backyard was filled with fallen trees (just missing the deck), branches, squirrel's nest and other assorted debris.  It still needs to be cleaned up more -- the tree guys will be here in the next two weeks with all their cranes and cherry pickers plus the grinder and dump trucks.  And of course, our neighbors had so little compared to us, they were shocked at our costly mess.

So -- with all this, little computer time.  Maybe that is a good thing?
I am thinking of changing my template.  I think I will clean out my bookmarks and some dormant friends and add some new ones.  Yeah, spring cleaning!  Now to find the time.

I just saw pictures of Taylor Swift's new "mature" look.  I don't think many will like it, it will take some getting use to.
This reminds me of when Felicity (old WB network show) got her hair cut.
It will be hard for me to watch the new look Taylor sing all those bubble gum tunes.

As much as it sucks to deal with all of the damages and inconvenience the storms caused, I am happy that you are all okay. Sounds like it could have been worse and thank God it wasn't.

Glad to see you stop by & even a new post too. Take care.

It sure sounds like you were lucky that no trees fell on your home - that would have been horrible.

I used to live in the 'country' and we had lots of trees on the property - always worried when the storms would come for fear of the damage they would/could cause. There was ALWAYS debris from the trees to clean up. Hubby used to do this each night when he returned home from work - just walk along and pick up larger branches that would fall down - and put them in a pile to be disposed of later. The trees were lovely to look at, but there is so much more work involved that a lot of people don't even realize.

I don't think I like Taylor Swift's new hairstyle either.

Hope this weekend is a nice one for you - first day of spring on Saturday!

Glad you and the family are OK after the terrible weather.
Taylor needs to get back to the curls.

So, which one is the new Taylor? She looks like a cute little girl in both.
Hate to hear of all the storm aftermath. Glad nothing crashed through your house. Sounds like opportunity for lots of firewood.
